Program for environmental stewardship

The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA), created the Environmental Stewardship Programme (ESP) for kitchen cabinets in 2006. The program promotes manufacturing practices that help the environment and benefit communities. It establishes high standards for products and processes. It also assists consumers in identifying greener products. To become certified, companies must meet five criteria.

The KCMA is the industry leader in kitchen cabinet manufacturing. It has dedicated itself to promoting policies that are beneficial to society and the environment. The KCMA's Environmental Performance Program holds cabinet manufacturers responsible for their environmental performance and helps to improve the industry's reputation. To achieve certification, cabinet manufacturers must meet stringent standards, including air quality and resource management. By meeting these requirements, kitchen cabinet manufacturers are awarded the ESP Seal.
